The Vinyl Factory, Soho, London

In June 2016 LUX Technical were asked by A Little Bird to support a very worthwhile event. The brief was to supply technical production support for the launch of the revolutionary new condom, Hex by Lelo.

LUX Technical welcomed the opportunity to be part of an event which could potentially save many lives.  Charlie Sheen was invited as the brand ambassador. He also made a frank and humble speech in support of the new brand.

The Vinyl Factory was also transformed for the evening. White lighting fixtures and sound equipment were used throughout. This was in line with the new brand and its’ design guidelines. Branded Hex gobos were used to light the entrance to make an impact as guests arrived. Creative lighting also formed the backdrop to the laboratory area. Here lab technicians demonstrated the product.

LUX Technical used LED eStrip batons in one of the key features – the latex wall installation. This proved to be one the main attractions of the event. Also the 1.5m ice sculpture of the new condom design was a strong feature. The latex wall was also an innovative way to demonstrate the strength and flexibility of latex. Dancers pushed themselves in to the latex to create subtle body images. The latex withstood the pressure therefore showing it’s strength and durability. In addition, the eStrips were placed above and below the wall, to highlight the relief of the dancers’ bodies.
