Musicality was a music conference held in aid of four charities. The concert included a celebrity line-up, and was hosted by Vernon Kay. These charities were raising money through ticket sales to support their causes. The concert took place inside Peterborough arena and required full scale festival feel production.
The Brief
Taking to the seas and skies we delivered an all encompassing conference production service to Amsterdam. The 7 day LUX Briefed to deliver and manage Peterborough Arena and all its production for the Musicality charity event. We were asked to create a high level, stand-out set up, to host celebrity artists. We took a hold of Peterborough Arena and turned it into an impressive venue with a main stage festival feel.
Not only did we provide a large-scale festival stage, we had the sound a lighting to match. We took charge of power and overall production management.

What We Delivered
The initial challenge was dealing with the low weight bearing rigging points inside the arena. Therefore, we decided to bring an outdoor stage in. Not the easiest option however it allowed us to have more flexibility with the production.
We now took control of production on a big scale. We fitted an Ali Dome stage for maximum impact. In came enough lighting to fill the whole arena. We installed impressive sound systems and in addition to this, we worked with varying artist and DJ sets.
…And all of this with a get in of just 24hrs!
A show stopping night, the crowd were wowed with the set up; Lighting up the night was our incredible LX operator, who had the crowd literally dancing in the palm of his hands.
The importance of sound quality was a key factor of the brief from the offset. As a result the team worked hard and we were pleased to have delivered this so successfully. Consequently, bands such as Top Loader, Scouting for Girls and B.O.B commented on the execution of our audio.
Quite the night, four charities were provided with much needed support, celebrity artists entertained a beguiling crowd and there was nothing but praise for the production company who made it all happen.
