“All the world’s a stage”
The famous words from William Shakespeare are our inspiration for today’s journal post. As one of the UK’s best stage suppliers we entirely agree. However our love of staging might be slightly different to what Shakespeare actually meant. We are more likely to be the ones that have built the stage for exits and entrances, actors and actresses and the many parts that create celebrated experiences.
Staging can be multipurpose in that it can be seen as a canvas or foundation to build from. We have produced many different systems that have played a part in conferences, concerts and festivals. Often we work in very challenging environments to create bespoke platforms. We have to negotiate nooks and crannies to create an entirely seamless finish. Our staging department specialises in visualising staging solutions and working technically to install each system to such a high standard. They blend each design into its surrounding interior – you would almost believe that the stage is a permanent fixture.
Stage design
Stage design is a very important part of the offering at LUX Technical. This is not only for the exciting challenge each example carries, but because it is a chance for us to create worlds upon worlds of design. We then fit these into an event experience in ways that perhaps our client’s haven’t considered. From a creative stages are more important than you might initially appreciate.
Thinking about it in more detail the idea of a stage might be to heighten anticipation, to deliver a key message of importance, to elevate the world of theatre or as a platform for celebrations. Often the stage gets to shine, being the focus of attention for performances and lectures, when in fact it is a universally recognised destination of significance. Whether it is a small podium stage for a welcome speech or a fully dressed concert platform, each system is there to support and uphold the importance of the experience itself, which makes our job very exciting.
